How to Add an Accountant / Bookkeeper to Your QuickBooks Online Account

Below are the steps to grant an accountant/bookkeeper access to get a preview of your books.

  • Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  • Two Areas you can use to add:
    • My Accountant
      • Left Menu > Click My Accountant
      • Move to step below to enter email address.
    • Manage Users
      • Click on the Gear Icon > Manage Users.
      • Go to the Accounting Firms section
      • Click the green Invite button on the far right
  • Enter the email address (for QuickWin use merry @ quickwinbookkeeping.com, no spaces) and enter first/last name (Merry Stewart)
  • Click Save. An email is sent to the accountant with a link for signing in to your company.
  • Click Next and Finish.

Just a note: until the accountant signs in, the status on the Manage Users page is “Invited.” After accepting the invitation, the status changes to “Active.”
